RAKO - Winner of the Platinum Awards 2007 in the digital printing field

Within the scope of the FESPA Digital Print Awards 2007, originated by HP in order to emphasize special achievements in the digital printing field, RAKO has won the Platinum Prize for beverage cans manufactured by digital printing. These beverage cans have been created for the FachPack 2006 as „give aways“. The design of the cans is printed on digitally printed self-adhesive vinyl. This is a full-body decoration.

The Platinum Prize is awarded for the best contribution Europe-wide with regard to each of the following eight cathegories:   ·        graphical means of transport ·        internal application ·        external application ·        decoration ·        marketing ·        packaging ·        textile ·        industrial goods

The two essential main criterions of the jury consisting of famous experts of the industry were creativity and advantages of digital printing. Aspects like communication ability or effectualness of the decorations as well as graphical design were considered. Concerning the  last-mentioned criterion, also the economical advantages of the application in the digital printing field in comparison with other printing applications, referring to the general conditions of the project, were considered.

Purpose of this project is the promotion of the standard in the digital printing field for users in this area and in the field of communication and decoration.
