The incidence of retail theft or “shoplifting” has increased rapidly. The total loss from this theft constitutes about 2.5 billion Euros p.a. Source tagging enables safety elements to be applied to the product or its package during the manufacturing process.

Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS):  392 KB

Electronic article surveillance systems are indispensable for retailers. Items are secured with transmitters, either included in an adhesive label or a hard tag. Providing the transmitter is not deactivated, stolen goods will activate an alarm signal at the store exit.
